Christmas in Bothell
I had a wonderful, but very unusual Christmas. I spent a week with my sister and her family in Bothell, Washington. My nephew and I had planned on going to the movies (The Water Horse) on Christmas Day, but I didn't want to drive in the snow so we stayed home and enjoyed a warm fire and a great turkey dinner. My nephew and I did manage to go see National Treasure 2. Mostly, my sister and I shopped til we dropped--we even shopped on the way to the airport.
The unusual part--it was the first Christmas that my husband and I have ever spent apart. I sent him pictures all day on Christmas, via my phone--the snow and a raccoon family that comes to my sister's sliding door. It felt very different to be separated.
I can't wait to go back.
